Hirschmann Industrial Ethernet – MACH4000 Backbone Ethernet Switch / Router
With 10Gigabit ports, Layer 3 (routing) capability and a triple redundancy power supply option, the Hirschmann Industrial Ethernet MACH4000 sits at the top of the network food chain.
While still possessing the famed reliability of Hirschmann Industrial Ethernet rail mount switches, the MACH4000 (like its little brother the MACH1000) has a 19” rack mount chassis to suit standard computer room enclosures. The modular assembly allows a customised configuration, combining Fast, Gigabit and 10Gigabit ports in Twisted Pair and Fibre.
Designed to build a high performance network backbone, the MACH4000 Router suits transport infrastructure applications such as tunnels, railway and airports, as well as industrial sites to connect real-time data producers and consumers across numerous production units with maximum switching performance.
Key features of the MACH4000 include:
- Available in Layer 2 (switching) or Layer 3 (routing) models
- Router Redundancy - VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) and RIP (Routing Information Protocol) Version 1/2 standard on all Layer 3 models. OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) on Professional firmware model
- Fast-Recovery Gigabit HiPER-Ring (Typically 50ms)
- High Port Density – up to 48 10/100/1000 with 3 off 10Gigabit ports
- Uses fibre SFP transceiver modules for cable choice flexibility. Up to 120km fibre link with Single Mode fibre cable
- Power Over Ethernet available for smart sensors and IP cameras
- Multiple and combinable power supply options including 110-240Vac/dc, 24Vdc and 48Vdc for added reliability
- Hot swappable media modules for fast changeover
- Extended temperature range 0 °C to 60 °C
