DMG MORI SEIKI Australia
had a successful show at the recently concluded 2012 Austech exhibition in Sydney.
DMG MORI SEIKI Australia not only demonstrated six new machine tools to over 9,000 attendees, the company was also able to generate a record number of product orders during the course of the show, exceeding expectations.
President Stefan Weiwadel reports that the 2012 show started really well with several orders generated during the first two days, while the overall order intake increased significantly. He attributes the company’s success at the show to his sales team, led by Paul McDermott.
A significant number of trade visitors sought information on trend-setting technologies as well as industry-focused solutions for the aerospace, automotive, medical and mining sectors.
DMG MORI SEIKI Australia showcased a range of high-tech CNC machining centres including the DMU 40 eVo linear CNC universal milling machine and the DMU 85 monoBLOCK for 5-axis simultaneous machining. According to Paul McDermott, National Product/Agent Manager at DMG/MORI SEIKI Australia, the Mori Seiki NLX2500 universal turning machine was also a crowd puller for applications in the booming mining industry.
The MILLTAP 700 compact machining centre, which also attracted attention from trade visitors, is suitable for a whole range of applications from small parts manufacture and electrical components to general engineering. The high machining speed is supported by a high-speed tool changer, which achieves a tool change time of 1.1 seconds and subsequently chip-to-chip times of 1.5 seconds enabling a highly efficient process.
