High speed roller doors are increasingly used for climate control and security, and will always require a satisfactory level of safety. With the consideration of must how to protect the roller door itself, and seen as a valuable investment, DMF International presents EFA-SCAN, a completely new and patented technology system, designed and supplied by their principal, Efaflex.
These are the first laser scanners worldwide to be used on a door, and carry out the tasks of activation and safety better than any other technology on the market. This innovation by EFAFLEX covers the entire area in front of the door without missing anything, and by the use of intelligent direction recognition, it is more reliable than any other technology.
EFA-SCAN is one of the few laser scanners which is also suitable for being installed outdoors with complex software algorithms preventing triggering during rain, snow and extraneous light. By emitting 16000 signals per second, the laser technology guarantees a split-second opening of the door, and this area of sensing is adjustable with the ability to extend for almost 10m x 10m in front of the doorway.
Referring to the photo, the green area represents the safe area where any movement will keep the door open. The orange area is the activation area that determines the direction of movement of traffic, so that only movement towards the door will activate the door. These zones are fully adjustable by simple programming and results in a dramatic reduction of forklift damage, or personnel being injured.
