DMF International presents a new range of safety activation sensors for high speed doors.
High speed doors can travel at up to 4m/s depending on the model. Sophisticated safety sensors are therefore required to not only protect personnel but also the equipment. In the absence of such sensors, users of high speed doors are at risk of injury and the doors can also be subject to impact damage from rushing traffic. Even inadequate safety sensors can cause damage and injury.
All DMF high speed doors are fitted with at least two types of sensors as standard, maximising the safety factor.
DMF can also supply the unique Efa-scan safety laser sensors, with the lasers pulsing out 16,000 signals per second horizontally to determine change of status, or detect movement within the scanned area.
The safety zone detects the presence of any person or object while the activation zone detects any approaching traffic intending to pass through the door. The sensor also determines cross traffic eliminating unnecessary opening. These zones can extend out to a maximum of 9m from the doorway, and each zone can be programmed to set the size and shape to suit the application.
