A new style of automated flexible PVC door has been announced by DMF International , adding to the company’s comprehensive range of flexible doors.
AUTO BiFLEX doors are automated, biparting doors that comprise of PVC strips which gently and rapidly open to either side. This ensures that unlike conventional strip doors, there is no impact contact of the PVC, extending its operational life.
A unique, accordion type sliding mechanism in these doors ensures that when fully open, they only occupy approximately 15% of the opening. Travelling brackets are supplied in galvanised steel or, where required, in stainless steel.
AUTO BiFLEX doors have an opening speed of around 1.3m/second, with an adjustable hold open time for automatic closing.
PVC panels in these doors are 300mm wide and up to 10mm thick, with a 100mm overlap, providing ease of pedestrian access if remaining closed.
Able to be used in openings that have gantry beams passing through the opening, and to accommodate wide openings of up to 10 metres, AUTO BiFLEX doors also feature:
- safe operation, with no chance of injury during closing cycle
- end position-damping control for accurate slow down of door movement; and
- built in UPS (uninterrupted power supply) for continued operation of door under power failure.
