World-leading contract logistics provider, DHL Supply Chain has opened its latest custom built facility in Sydney’s western suburb of Horsley Park.
The fourth addition to DHL Supply Chain’s Campus, the new $35 million 32,000m square metre facility brings the company’s overall investment in the industrial park to about $120 million.
Campus is an industrial park spanning 18 hectares and exclusively leased by DHL Supply Chain to support its consumer, retail, technology and healthcare customers in Australia. Employing more than 500 people, the park offers 90,000 square metres of warehousing and has been custom developed by Goodman to offer DHL Supply Chain customers industry-leading warehousing and transportation solutions.
DHL Supply Chain South Pacific CEO Terry Ryan commented that they will continue to invest ahead of the curve to ensure they can accommodate the requirements of existing and future customers. The company manages over 500,000 square metres of warehousing.
To be equipped with a fully automated retail solution in 2015, the new facility will support three key retail customers and employ up to 200 people.
DHL’s commitment to building an environmentally sustainable business will be reflected in features such as sky lighting, energy efficient air conditioning systems, solar hot water heating, rainwater usage and sensor-controlled T5 energy efficient lighting.
