Global logistics company DHL has announced the appointment of Prakash Rochlani as the new Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain Malaysia. Prakash will report to Oscar de Bok, CEO Asia Pacific, DHL Supply Chain.
Prakash will be responsible for delivering world-class logistics operations to the broad portfolio of existing customers in Malaysia and generating sustainable business growth while ensuring service excellence and maintaining a strong pipeline of local talent and operational capabilities.
According to Mr de Bok, Malaysia is one of DHL’s key markets in the region; DHL has a proactive investment strategy that ensures the company has the right infrastructure to support increasing customer demand for advanced supply chain solutions.
He added the Prakash’s proven experience in developing and growing both DHL's and customers’ businesses will take their Malaysian operation into its next phase of accelerated growth and development. DHL Supply Chain Malaysia currently employs over 1,500 people across 25 locations nationally.
Prior to the appointment, Prakash performed a number of roles in the company. He joined Al Futtiam Exel joint venture in the Middle East in 2003, and held management positions in Operations and Solutions Design before taking on the role of Director of Business Development for India in 2008. In 2011, he was promoted to Vice President Business Development, South and South East Asia.
A graduate from the University of Mumbai, Prakash holds a certificate in Supply Chain from APICS, USA, and is currently working towards a Global MBA from INSEAD.
