NEW guarding on the latest Chan Yeh automatic L-sealers provides a substantial increase in operator safety according to Robert Wilde, managing director of Chan Yeh's Australian agent, DFC Packaging. Additional operator safety is also provided by switches that automatically shut down the machine once the lid is raised.

Mr Wilde says the Chan Yeh features remarkable technology as shown by its infra red radiating titanium heating tubes which provide high efficiency in terms of heating performance.

The machine design ensures hot air circulation upgrades heating efficiency in the shrinking tunnel, giving consistent temperature distribution and ensuring outstanding, consistent shrink results, according the manufacturers.

The new sealing cut mechanism is suitable for long term continuous sealing operations with minimal dwell time, according to Robert Wilde.

He claims the sealers are very safe, easy to operate, provide excellent levels of efficiency and require minimal levels of human supervision.

All models are designed to seal centre fold film and feature automatic spreading to facilitate workpieces entering the machine.

The ‘required length’ of sealing film is accurately controlled by a PLC equipped with a photocell sensor while a number of operator warning devices are also incorporated as standard features. DFC Packaging Group 03 9562 2055.
