With the introduction of the new Product Catalogue 2006, RECOM International Power, represented by Cutter Electronics, has widened its extensive product portfolio to include for the first time, an extensive AC/DC-converter series.
The RAC series are PCB-mounting, fully encapsulated AC/DC modules covering the 5W, 10W, 15W and 30W power ranges. Universal inputs allow both 90 - 264 VAC with 47 - 440 Hz or 120 - 370VDC supply voltages. Application engineers can choose between single, dual and triple output models. Available output voltages are 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24 Volt for single output converters, ±5, ±12, ±15 and 5/12 volts for dual output models and the output combinations 5/±12 and 5/±15 volts for the triple output versions.
The RAC series offer substantial space saving, in comparison to standard AC/DC power supplies. The single output 5 watt module is supplied in a fibre-reinforced epoxy housing, with dimensions of only 50.8mm x 25.4 mm x 15.2 mm. The pin compatible 10 Watt module needs only 52.4 mm x 27.2 mm x 23.5 mm of space.
Standard features of the new range are continuous short circuit protection with automatic reset, low output ripple and noise figures, 3000 VAC input-output isolation as well as TÜV -, CE - and UL-certification.
Additionally, the RAC converters with 5W, 10W and 15 watts power categories are also available in DIN Rail mounting versions with single, dual and triple-outputs via screw terminals, making them ideal for use in electrical cabinets.
