Through a focus on safety, national fluid power solutions provider Custom Fluid Power has achieved no lost time injuries across the total group for the 2009-2010 financial year.
Custom Fluid Power Group member, FluidTech International will in August, achieve six years without a lost time injury at their Carrington and Singleton facilities.
Custom Fluid Power credits the achievement to its Zero Harm philosophy.
“Our Zero Harm program is an embodiment of a will and a desire at all levels of our organisation to not adversely impact the individual, the community or the world within which we live,” said National H.S. & E. Manager Mr Gary Brewer.
“It begins with an understanding of our people. Without people an organisation is merely an empty shell of equipment and buildings. The interactions of people together with their surroundings determine the culture within which work is done,” said Mr Brewer.
The Zero Harm program rolled out nationally reflects the number one value of Custom Fluid Power, namely work safety.
Custom Fluid Power’s CEO Mr Mark O’Leary said, “Custom Fluid Power’s goal is zero harm with an overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibility.”
“Our employees have embraced the Zero Harm message and are taking the initiative to provide themselves, their workmates and their customers with a safe working environment,” said Mr O’Leary.
“I am proud of our result for the past financial year and look forward to maintaining our success into the future through continued focus on our Zero Harm program.”
Custom Fluid Power is a wholly Australian owned company, offering a combination of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication products as well as services in the agricultural, aerospace, exploration, industrial, marine, mobile, mining and material handling industries.
