Custom Fluidpower shortlisted in ACARP
Custom Fluid Power has been shortlisted in the Australian Coal Association Research Program (ACARP) for a proposal to develop a non-invasive hand held device which can detect fluid under pressure.
A full submission has now been made on behalf of Custom Fluidpower to ACARP, with the results being announced at the end of 2007.
In the event the grant application is successful, Custom Fluidpower will undertake an 18 month project involving in-depth research, with the cooperation of organisations such as the CSIRO and a lengthy design process based on the findings of this research.
This being successful, the device would then be thoroughly tested in the mining environment to ensure its effectiveness and intrinsic safety.
Custom Fluidpower is excited at the prospect of being able to provide the market with an effective, convenient, safe device, which could assist the mining industry in reducing the number of injuries relating to fluid under pressure.
