CROWN ’S battery electric M4000 walkie stackers can handle loads up to 1500kg without compromising vehicle control or the visibility of the mast.
The high visibility mast is constructed from nested steel I-beams with canted and sealed bearings to ensure rigidity. Mast cushioning eliminates severe vibrations and load deflection through mast staging cycles. A clear view mast and carriage design and low profile chassis provide optimum visibility through the mast to the load and over the chassis to the fork tips.
The low centre of gravity, compact chassis design and centre-mounted handle help the operator maintain control while placing large, unstable loads in narrow operating aisles. The stackers have a smooth, contoured design. An angled profile on the front cover allows the operator to view the gauge and have easy access to the emergency disconnect switch.
Steering requires little effort and the stackers offer smooth operation and two levels of programmable travel performance. A full function control handle, powerful drive unit and large diameter drive tyre help it cope with uneven floors. The chassis is guaranteed for the entire length of ownership.
All components are accessible. Component coded wiring and easy access to the contactor tips, fuses, drive motor brushes and brakes help service technicians work faster and more efficiently. Independent fuses for the power and signal circuit protect critical components while simplifying service. It also has diagnostic fault finding and programmable function capability, using a hand held analyser that is connected to the transistor traction controller.
The ergonomic control handle is designed for optimum turning radius with minimal steer effort. Integrated into the handle are all control buttons. These include travel direction, travel speed control, lift, lower, horn and safety reverse.
For easy operation in tight areas a brake override function is integrated which allows the M4000 to be driven in creep speed with the handle in the upright position. The brake unit is equipped with an electromagnetic brake, spring applied and electrically released. The brake is activated by the control handle position.
High visibility two and three stage mast section nests in the main upright provide good visibility for the operator. Telescoping mast alloy steel rollers are contoured to fit the mast and equipped with sealed ball bearings.
The drive wheel has a diameter of 250mm and is available in vulkollan, polyurethane and rubber. A heavy duty gearbox is designed for low noise. Optional equipment includes an audible travel alarm and flashing lights.
