Stackers for tight spaces
CROWN Equipment has released two stackers that work efficiently in areas with limited space. The ST 3000 and SX 3000 provide maximum radius turn in tight aisles and restricted spaces. They use Crown’s X10 handle for even greater efficiency and ease of control.
A centre-mounted tiller enables the operator to see both sides of the load to aid positioning.
They are constructed under Crown's lean manufacturing system, providing cost savings without sacrificing ruggedness or reliability.
The ST 3000 carries loads of up to 1000kg and can lift up to 4.25m high. It is supplied with adjustable forged forks and adjustable outriggers (from 865mm to 1270mm) to provide a high level of operator flexibility required in various applications.
The SX 3000 moves up to 1,500kg and lifts to heights of 5.5m. It is suitable for applications requiring even greater capacity, extended lift heights or auxiliary hydraulics such as sideshift.
Each of these units is robust to handle tough applications and is designed with a low profile, sloped power unit and clear mast configuration.
Their steel construction provides a high level of protection for internal components and a long life span. Crown provides a lifetime warranty on chassis.
The Crown Stacker Series handles plastic or wooden pallets, skids, metal containers or wire baskets in congested work areas. Extreme conditions pose no problems, particularly with the SX model. It can cope with freezer storage temperatures as low as -30ºC, and performs well on uneven floors due to its spring loaded casters that provide stability while transporting heavy loads.
ST and SX 3000 models can be supplied with various tailored options, including a work assist platform to safely lift operators for building maintenance and a work assist load backrest tray which transforms the fork into a work table.
A side-shift function on the X10 handle allows an operator to shift a load left or right up to 100mm while the unit remains stationary. The handle is a centre-mounted tiller that has a brake override function to allow vertical positioning while travelling at restricted speed to deal with short turns in narrow aisles. The handle provides maximum manoeuvrability while positioning the operator at a safe distance from the power unit of the vehicle. Visibility is enhanced all around with a clear view of the outriggers, fork tips and either side of the pallet load (even at elevated heights).
A centre-mounted tiller enables the operator to see both sides of the load to aid positioning. Forward and upward visibility is also excellent due to the clear mast design with nested rails and efficient routing of hydraulic hoses.
