A single machine can replace cumbersome rolling ladders and handcarts, while improving ergonomics and ensuring safety for the worker moving stock, according to Crown Equipment .
Crown Equipment will be showcasing this machine, the WAVE 118 at the Safety in Action exhibition in May.
The Work Assist Vehicle - or WAVE - can lift a person and a load up to effective working heights of 5m. It travels nearly twice as fast as walking speed and navigates and turns in its own radius.
The WAVE can revolutionise manual handling in the workplace as well as provid safety for any situation where a worker is working at height, says Crown.
It runs on a 24V system and operates quietly and smoothly, with a work station designed to absorb shock and vibration. A system controller manages vehicle travel, steering, braking, lift/lower and the display.
Crown backs up all its unique products, designed and built by the company, with service and spare parts.
