A 'swing-out /fold-down' gas bottle handling attachment operates on a pressure-filled cylinder giving personnel so much mechanical advantage they can load and unload the gas bottle using just one hand without danger of back strain or other injury.
"A person can now load and unload a gas bottle with total ease and safety even in environments that are low on operating space," Crown Equipment executive director Glenn Pulley said.
"It was designed to work at an optimum on all Crown engine trucks ranging in capacity from 1.5 tonne to 15 tonne.”
The CG/CL/CD Series engine trucks (2 tonne - 3 tonne), running on petrol, LPG or diesel, also have a utility storage box that can hold items such as pens, knives, dockets, tape, string, drinks and other items that should always be at a driver's disposal.
Entering and disembarking the unit is also much simpler than to which forklift drivers have been accustomed.
Unlike many trucks on the market - which are designed with access only from the left hand side of the vehicle - the Crown engine truck range has the control levers placed beside the seat within easy fingertip reach so entering or leaving the vehicle is unobstructed from either side.
During high lifting and truck unloading, good spatial awareness is maintained on these robust trucks by the use of high visibility guards and clear view mast uprights.
