The team behind the ‘Let's Create Something Brilliant Together’ campaign by TE Connectivity Ltd. was named the Marketing Team of the Year in the EE Times and EDN 2014 UBM Tech ACE (Annual Creativity in Electronics) Awards.
The awards program honours the people and companies behind the technologies and products that are changing the world of electronics.
Amy Shah, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at TE Connectivity comments that TE is focused on creating the most innovative connectivity solutions that enable customers to see their ideas come to life. She added that more than 7,000 of TE's global engineers come together every day and work with customers to solve some of the world's toughest technological challenges.
In 2013, TE's global marketing team launched a brand platform that featured many of the faces and stories of its engineers across the organisation and around the globe. By bringing these engineering stories to life, TE has been able to explain its collaboration with customers and problem-solving approach to innovation and invention.
As a focal point of the brand campaign, www.EveryConnectionCounts.com houses compelling stories through creative videos and dialogue across various digital channels. Since its launch over six months ago, the campaign has reached more than one million engineers around the world and has sparked meaningful conversation and engagement with customers.
Patrick Mannion, vice president, brand director, UBM Tech Electronics observed that the ACE Awards celebrated the highest achievements in innovation and creativity in electronics design, and selecting one organisation or individual that stood out above the rest was incredibly challenging.
A panel of EE Times and EDN editors narrowed down the entries to five finalists in each category, based on the criteria set forth in an online submission form. Winners were determined by a panel of independent judges.
