CrispTech introduces Moxa's new MGate EIP3000 series products have 1 or 2 DF1 to EtherNet/IP ports for connecting DF1 devices and EtherNet/IP devices to Allen Bradley PLCs for remote maintenance capability. The EIP3000 features unique ProCOM technology, which aids system engineers by generating 4 extra virtual serial channels for Ethernet data pass-through and maximum network flexibility, all without needing to modify the existing system.
Furthermore, the EIP3000 supports two IPs—one for each serial port—which means that EtherNet/IP devices can communicate with two DF1 devices simultaneously for fast access. For this reason, the EIP3000 is ideal for demanding applications, such as control and monitoring for factory automation and machine automation, both of which involve numerous device connections and require sub-millisecond latency.
EIP/DF1 gateways are often used in the automotive industry to facilitate communication between system devices and PLCs. The need to simplify application development led to the introduction of advanced gateways such as the EIP3000, which features multiple EtherNet/IP connections with up to 16 simultaneous requests for rapid communication, and cascading Ethernet ports for an optimized network with less wiring.
