Moxa have expanded their high-performance full Gigabit Ethernet switches. The new EDS-205 series, a line of entry-level full Gigabit unmanaged Ethernet switches to fulfill the demand for Gigabit network development, is now available from CrispTech .
Moxa's EDS-G205 Ethernet switch is equipped with five ports and supports 10/100/100BaseT(X). As every port has plug and play abilities, users can immediately reassign their network to full high-speed performance. The EDS-G205 Ethernet switch provides an economical entry-level solution for upgrading existing fast Ethernet networks and ensures smooth data transmissions for bandwidth-intensive industrial applications.
The EDS-G205 Ethernet switch has a power range of 12/24/48 VDC, redundant dual power inputs, built-in relay warning function for sending alerts when power failures or port breaks occur, and broadcast storm protection to ensure smooth network communications. Due to its -40 to 75°C wide operating temperature and industrial approvals, such as Class I, Div. 2/ATEX Zone 2, DNV, or GL certification, the EDS-G205 Ethernet switch can withstand harsh industrial applications.
The EDS-G205 Ethernet switch’s power saving features can reduce the power consumption. This is achieved when the EDS-G205 Ethernet switch’s power saving utility detects a link down or a cable length of less than 60 meters, and activates its power-saving function.
The EDS-G205 Ethernet switch has the following features:
- 5 10/100/1000BaseT(X) ports (RJ45 connector)
- Redundant dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs
- Relay output warning for power failure and port break alarm
- Broadcast storm protection
- -40 to 75°C operating temperature range (T models)
- Energy-saving design cuts power consumption by up to 82%
- IP30 metal housing
