CrispTech has introduced the DA-710, an x86-based fanless rackmount embedded computer with modular flexibility.
This new rackmount computer is based on the Intel x86 processor and can support USB, VGA, and CompactFlash. The embedded computer features four Ethernet ports and two RS-232 serial ports. Moxa's DA-710 makes for an ideal platform for industrial applications thanks to its standard 19-inch, 4U high form factor. Additionally, the modular expansion design enables users to tailor their embedded computers.
DA-710 rackmount embedded computers have been specifically designed for power substations as it offers a wide range of applications for multitasking in a single power substation central management system. Moxa's DA-710 is a rugged industrial computer and can put an end to system instability and simplify maintenance problems often associated with traditional multi-backend host servers.
DA-710 rackmount computers feature a high performance Intel processor and feature four PCI slots for inserting various expansion modules to cater to the needs of different applications. Modules include:
- An 8-port RS-232/422/485 module (available with isolation, DB9 or terminal block)
- A 4-port 10/100 Mbps LAN module, an 8-port RS-232/485 module
- An 8-port 10/100 switch module
- An 8-port RS-422/485 module
- An 8-port module
- A universal PCI expansion module
The DA-710 offers supports redundant applications and 100/240 VAC/VDC dual power inputs to ensure continuous operation. The fanless design allows the DA-710 rackmount computer to use a high performance processor, increasing the reliability and stability of the system, while repair and maintenance efforts are reduced.
DA-710 embedded computers run pre-installed Linux, WinCE 6.0, or Windows XP Embedded to provide a friendly environment for developing sophisticated application software. Powerful software is offered by Moxa to alleviate the workload of programmers, making it easier to develop bug-free code, and save valuable time and development costs.
All of the functions and features of the rackmount computers make it an ideal solution for a wide array of industrial automation applications.
