Moxa have unveiled their new product OnCell 5004, which is a GSM/GPRS industrial cellular router that connects up to 4 Ethernet devices to a cellular network for remote sites and devices. The OnCell 5004 cellular router, available from CrispTech , provides the functionality of a cellular router, firewall, and switch in one device, and is a stand-alone platform.
The OnCell 5004 is an industrial strength multi-functional cellular communication platform, and is suitable for upgrading M2M applications to cellular. The OnCell 5004 cellular router is a robust and high-performance machine. The OnCell 5004 cellular router uses 12V to 48V DC power inputs with a screw-on design for greater reliability, operates in a wide temperature range of -30°C to 55°C, and is housed in an aluminium form factor that is IP30 protected.
The OnCell 5004 cellular router is equipped with advanced features, such as one WAN and four LAN interfaces, which are protected by 1.5kV magnetic isolation to keep the system safe from unexpected electrical discharges. The flexible design of the OnCell 5004 cellular router allows LAN ports to connect to a cellular WAN using a single cellular data account for primary and backup wireless WAN connectivity, and along with a dual SIM card tray with automatic SIM switchover, the OnCell 5004 is suitable for any industrial applications, especially environmental monitoring systems and transportation applications.
