CrispTech introduces Moxa's EOM-104, a new embedded managed Ethernet switch that supports four 10/100 Mbps ports with up to 2 fiber ports, and comes equipped with advanced management features.
The EOM-104 is ideal for industrial field site applications where the performance and reliability of connected devices can be upgraded by embedding this ultra-small ethernet switch module. With Moxa's new Ethernet module switches, users can benefit from reduced deployment cost, lower power consumption (2 watts), extended operating temperature of -40 to 75°C, device redundancy, as well as saving valuable space. It is unquestionably an easy and cost-effective solution for device manufacturers to speedily transform existing devices into more intelligent and reliable devices.
The size of the EOM-104 is merely 54 x 60 mm-about two-thirds the size of a business card—which is perfect for space restricted embedded applications.
Other obvious advantages of the ethernet switch include it's extremely low power consumption that provides lower thermal output for stable operations, and 3.3 VDC power input, which do not require an additional external power supply. Management functions include Moxa's Turbo Ring redundant technology (recovery time < 20 ms), port-based VLAN, SNMP, QoS, and intelligent SNMP and email alerts for events. In addition, the EOM-104 provides a set of PIN connectors for easy plug-n-play installation and can be configured over a network by web browser and Telnet console. The EOM-104 managed Ethernet switch module extends the benefits of smart networking performance and rugged features to devices in an easy and efficient way.
