CrispTech and Moxa have introduced the EDS-G509, a new entry into their series of Gigabit Ethernet switches that support up to 9 Gigabit ports with 5 fibre optic ports. Moxa's EDS-G509 Gigabit Ethernet switch provides maximum performance through every port, and is suitable for upgrading an existing network to Gigabit speeds or building a new full Gigabit backbone.
In both fibre ports and wired ports, the EDS-G509 Gigabit Ethernet switch enables the real-time transmission of massive amounts of video, voice, and data across a network by means of full Gigabit Ethernet. Top network performance, security and reliability are also assured through the EDS-G509's advanced management features, which include QoS, IGMP snooping/GMRP, VLAN, LACP, SNMP V1/V2c/V3 and RMON.
The EDS-G509 Gigabit Ethernet switch provides long distance transmission through its versatile fibre ports. The versatility comes from the ability to deploy 5 combo ports and 4 fixed TX ports. Multi-mode, single-mode and long haul scenarios can all be realised with the SFP fibre modules, and in addition, 4 fixed Gigabit TX ports can also be used.
The EDS-G509 Gigabit Ethernet switch series is designed for harsh industrial environments and performs well in wide temperature extremes ranging from -40 to 75?.
The EDS-G509 Gigabit Ethernet switch supports 12/24/48 VDC or 24 VAC redundant dual power inputs and complies with Class I Division 2 and DNV certifications, making the switch suitable for tough industrial application.
The following are the features of the EDS-G509 Gigabit Ethernet switch:
- Turbo Ring (recovery time < 20 ms at full load) and RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1w/D)
- IGMP Snooping and GMRP for filtering multicast traffic
- Port-based VLAN, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN and GVRP to ease network planning
- QoS-IEEE 802.1p/1Q and TOS/DiffServ to increase determinism
- Port Trunking for optimum bandwidth utilisation
- IEEE 802.1X, HTTPS, and SSH to enhance network security
- SNMPv1/v2c/v3 for different levels of network management
- Bandwidth management prevents unpredictable network status
- Lock port function for blocking unauthorised access based on MAC address
- Port mirroring for online debugging
- Automatic warning through e-mail and relay output
- Digital inputs to integrate sensors and alarms with IP networks
- ABC-01 (Automatic Backup Configurator) for system configuration backup
