CrispTech releases new version video decoder

VPort D351 video decoder

CrispTech,  distributor of industrial communications products has released new video decoder for MJPEG and MPEG4 video formats.

The VPort D351 is a 1-channel industrial video decoder that can rapidly decode network video and audio streams from Moxa’s VPort series of video encoders and IP cameras, and then send the analogue signals back to traditional CCTV equipment.

The decoder is designed to link to standard analogue CCTV devices such as the monitors, multiplexers and matrix switches used in many surveillance applications. Users can easily bridge existing analogue video surveillance systems to a Moxa IP-based video surveillance network.

In addition, a bi-directional audio function enables real time voice-over-IP communication between Moxa’s industrial video encoder and decoder and the unique transparent PTZ control allows instant control of remote PTZ controllers at the control site.

Real-time event surveillance:

The VPort D351 can continuously monitor and track events from analog CCTV systems by switching between up to 64 different video sources at a maximum line resolution of 540 TVL. The video streams can be selected manually by web server, or automatically by scanning within a set time interval.

Moreover, the VPort D351 with 2 DIs located on the top panel, can be used to create two control buttons for up and down video source selection. When an event is trigged, the video stream is instantly inserted to provide warning in real time, so that engineers can handle field site situations at once.

Transparent PTZ control:

The VPort D351 provides the ability to synchronise the control of remote PTZ cameras from the control centre without the need to install a separate driver for each PTZ camera. The Moxa VPort D351 enables users to handle remote PTZ control through a web interface and adjust the direction and zoom setting of the camera.
