CrispTech releases new remote power controllers

Remote power controllers
CrispTech has released new IP Power range of remote power controllers or Rebooters.
The IP Power products, as their name suggests enable remote control of power outlets via Ethernet either from across the street or across the world.
This means that attached devices can have their power cycled or the device restarted by anybody that has a network or internet connection and the appropriate security authority.
Initially there is a four port standalone unit and an 8 port Rack Mount (IRU) unit with an additional unit coming soon which will offer GSM access as well as network control.
Configuration and control is about as easy as it can get – Browser based with Login/Password security and push buttons to control the power connections.
There are additional options to also control PCs across the network using the Wake on Lan (WoL) feature and to also gracefully shut down a server with a programmable time delay.
The shut down process requires a small software service to be loaded on the server or PC and we have successfully tested it with a variety of Windows Operating Systems.
Built in scheduling also offers time of day control and override functions as well. And for those customers who want more functionality or customisation there is a Software Development Kit included so that they can customize their own web interface using http commands, or incorporate it into their control or SACADA systems.
These products offer simple power control over remote facilities such as pumping stations, Telco Base Stations, Multimedia displays, computer control systems, building control systems, agriculture and anywhere that is unmanned or difficult to access quickly.
