Monitoring Systems for Residual Oil in Compressed Air
OilControl SystemsIndustrial processes can be sensitive to oil contamination, until now the only method for measuring the in pipe oil content was a costly procedure involving specialist equipment and a laboratory analysis. Now Beko, the Germany based maker of high technology solutions for compressed air users, has released its unique OilControl System.
Beko OilControl for Compressed Air SystemsUsing Measurement Technology developed in Germany, the OilControl product provides Permanently On Line Readings of the actual Oil Loading at any given measurement point within a Compressed Air System. There are two parts:
The Sensor Unit of the Beko OilControl System
The Sensor Unit is for Vertical Installation into the pipe. Beko also supply a purpose manufactured pipe elbow that includes a sensor connection port.
The Display Unit of the Beko OilControl System The Display Unit offers the user:
- Definable Alarm Limits
- Colour Changing Display Readings Indicating Exceeding Alarm Levels
- Connects to Building Management System
- Remote Monitoring
- Data from Unit can be Recorded over a period of time
- Results Imported to Commonly Available Software
- Converted into Clear and Concise Graphical Reports
The unit is available in three models, each designed for installation at different points in the compressed air line.
The OCC Model - Can Measure up to 100 mg/Nm3
- Suitable for Installation Immediately after the Compressor
The OCF Model - Measures to 0.01 mg/Nm3
- Measures the Oil Content Immediately after a Condensate Reducing Coalescing Filter
The OCA Model- The Highest Sensitivity
- Measure down to 0.001 mg/Nm3
- Intended for Installation in the most Oil Less Environment, typically after an Activated Carbon Oil Removal Filter
