Country Energy provides views on energy audit
Country Energy has provided information on energy audit, which is the first step towards reducing energy consumption, energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The energy audit allows to adopt a strategic approach to managing energy use and helps to prioritise the energy programs that need to be implemented.
An energy audit will determine the following:
- Where and how energy is being used in operations
- What opportunities have been provided for reducing energy waste
- What products and programs can reduce energy use
- The cost of implementation
- How much can be saved in energy, money and greenhouse gas emissions
- The payback period
- Benchmarks to set to measure improvements
Country Energy undertakes audits for electricity, natural gas, diesel and water consumption. Quality is assured as energy audits are conducted in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 3598:2000.
