Ollo Extra Virgin Olive Oil wins Gold Award at 2005 Packaging Awards.

The Barossa Olive Oil Company has won gold in the O-I Glass Achievement Award at the 2005 Packaging Awards for its entry Ollo Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

What the judges said…

The judges were unanimous in their appreciation of this entry, and in their recognition of the skill employed to achieve this result - one of the very highest quality product and pack presentations.

The bottle shape is simple, distinctive and appropriate.

Its flat-shouldered silhouette is reminiscent of traditional olive oil providores, and infers a quiet authenticity, and a rejection of trendy shapes and bottle gimmicks.

The bottle shape also allows the golden tones of the oil to add impact and colour to the overall effect.

The printing is extraordinarily expert, and adds a sensuous textural quality to the label.

Colour, shape and attention to detail have been expertly applied here, with great success.
