Cormack Packaging provide inputs on 2008 Cormack Innovation Awards (1-Dec-2008)
The 2008 Cormack Innovation Awards held at Customs House, Sydney received quality field of finalists, showcasing the talents of third year industrial design students from local universities. Cormack Packaging Managing Director, Mathew Cormack, said innovation in packaging was important across the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, household, chemical, automotive and hardware sectors.

Anyone that has found themselves thumping the hard glass bottom of an upturned tomato sauce bottle understands the value of moderns closures. In days gone by, having removed the rudimentary screw-on cap from the tomato sauce bottle, the only way to dispense the sauce over a plate of hot chips was to give the bottle a whack - which usually resulted in the chips being saturated in excess sauce.
Packaging designers of the future recognised (9-Dec-2005)
Cormack Packaging’s annual Innovation awards has again recognised innovation in closure design at a presentation ceremony overlooking Sydney harbour. The winning designer in 2005 was Frag Woodall from the University of Technology Sydney, with a one-handed, simple action closure concept for energy drinks.

TECR closure (2-May-2005)
Cormack Packaging has launched a locally tooled 28mm PP Tamper-Evident Child Resistant (TECR) closure. USING the latest technology from Cormack’s licensing with Kerr Group Inc. in the USA, the closure gives a superior performing product for both glass and PET applications that have the universal 28mm Pilfer Proof neck finish.
Cospak and Cormack get closure on TECR (5-Apr-2005)
COSPAK has entered into an exclusive distribution arrangement with Cormack Packaging to promote their new tamper evident child resistant (TECR) closure, suited for 28mm ROPP finish. Cospak offers this new closure as a package deal with amber glass “Alpha” syrup bottles – packed in clean room conditions at the glassworks, with no fibre packaging content, and untouched until delivered to the packer.
