New range of paint test equipment

Cormack Anest-Iwata has just released a new range of PaintSmart(tm) test equipment that includes infrared thermometers, paint thickness gauges and a humidity meter. Targeted towards the automotive body shop, paint company trainer and insurance assessor, these tools are lightweight, portable, simple to use and feature auto shut off.

Two models of infrared thermometer are available. Both are handheld, battery-operated instruments with inbuilt laser pointers for accurate measurement and feature large easy to read displays. Operating is just a matter of point and press for fast accurate readings. As the measurement is non-contact the user and be confident that the substrate will remain uncontaminated.

Paint thickness gauges are also available in two models; ferrous metals only and a combination ferrous/non-ferrous unit. Both are supplied with miniature leads and probes for measuring in confined spaces, calibration foils and a protective carry case. Measurements can be displayed in either mils or microns.

With the car repair industry moving towards water based paint products overseas, the humidity and temperature of the surrounding air is critical. The humdity and temperature meter features an inbuilt probe and a working range from -10 to 65*C. Operation is a simple push and read function.
