Motor control offers energy savings
CONTROL Supplies has a new product from Powerboss called the Dynamic Motor Optimiser.
Developed by Somar in the UK over a decade of research, it is at the forefront of intelligent motor control and energy optimisation, and offers a unique energy saving opportunity.
The intelligent energy saving utilises a powerful microcomputer which provides a simple and effective solution by constantly monitoring the efficiency of the motor and ensuring the input power to the motor is matched exactly to the load as it changes.
Even the slightest variations in demand will be sensed and Powerboss will respond supplying full power if required to the motor in 100th of a second. Motor speed is not effected.
Powerboss claims it will produce a more efficient, smoother and quieter motor with increased life and reduced maintenance cost. Power factor will also be improved.
