Available now from Control Logic , Schmersal ZQ/TQ pull-wire switches were designed for an ergonomic operation and a long lifetime, even in the roughest of conditions.
Equipped with non-latching switching contacts, the TQ 900 pull-wire switch with robust die-cast IP 67 enclosure can be used as a pull-wire emergency stop switch for safety-related applications. As soon as the switch is actuated, it snaps and locks into the emergency stop position, needing to be reset through an individual unlocking button. Due to the position of the button, the operator can notice from a distance whether the safety function has been triggered.
As an option, the ZQ 900 can be equipped with an indicator light as well as an additional emergency stop push button to enable local activation of the emergency stop function.
The compact ZQ 700 and TQ 700 pull-wire switches have two switching contacts and can be used in smaller machinery and confined areas. The pull-wire rope of these compact versions can have a length of up to 10m, and for larger models, it can extend to 50m.
All series of these pull-wire switches feature wire-breakage monitoring. If the pull-wire rope is broken or removed, the emergency stop or “off” function is autonomously activated. All pull-wire switches also feature a position indication to enable a smooth setting of the correct wire tension.
As an innovative extra feature for all series of Schmersal pull-wire switches, the S 900 is a wire-tensioning device that facilitates the fitting and the fine adjustment of the pull-wire rope. The user only needs to insert one end of the wire in the S 900, and after blocking it with a screw they can set the required wire tension by means of a hexagonal screw. The pull-wire rope can be tensioned or re-tensioned over a distance of 12 cm, without the rope being twisted or requiring repeated stripping.
This feature enables the user to achieve the desired wire tension and effortlessly facilitates the fitting and re-tensioning of the pull-wire rope.
