Red Lion’s PAX2A dual line digital display meters are now available from Control Logic . The PAX2A can display input, total, minimum, maximum or setpoints on a 0.7-inch high 6-digit main LCD display.
The main display of the digital display meters offers three programmable, easy-to-read colours: red, orange and green. Colour change can be tied to the setpoints, providing the operator with a visual display of changing conditions in the application with updates up to 160 times per second.
The panel meters also feature a second display line with a 0.35-inch high 9-digit green LCD display that can also be programmed for any of the above parameters and accommodates totalising applications that easily exceed normal 6-digit displays. Additionally, a 3-digit programmable custom unit indicator is also available.
Red Lion’s dual line digital display meters provide universal functionality including universal inputs. Inputs for DC current, DC voltage, process signal as well as thermocouple and RTD temperature sensors are accepted in a single display meter.
PAX2A also supports universal power inputs from 50 to 250 VAC or 21.6 to 250 VDC. Built-in Modbus communications in addition to field installable option cards such as RS232, RS485, DeviceNet and Profibus allow communications across a multitude of protocols.
According to Jeff Thornton, Red Lion Product Manager the PAX2A facilitates maximum application flexibility, allowing users to stock just one digital display meter for numerous applications.
He adds that the dual line display delivers an ideal solution for applications that require two parameters to be visualised simultaneously.
