THE Riken Keiki portable formaldehyde gas detector model FP-40 is a precision gas analyser which measures gases in the ppm range using a photoelectric photometry method with chlorimetric detection tabs. It is available from Control Equipment .
The in-built microprocessor controlled sample pump draws the sample off the tab, giving the user a direct digital readout. The in-built data logger will store up to 99 readings that can be viewed on the display or downloaded onto a PC.
The FP-40 is designed to monitor formaldehyde below the World Health Organisation standard level of 0.08ppm (based on an average reading over 30 minutes with a resolution of 0.005ppm). There are two ranges available.
Applications include hospitals, poultry farms, plywood manufacturers, resin producers, drilling rig fluid, paper manufacturers and petrochemical plants.
