Lika RD series actuator units, distributed by Control Devices for the Asia Pacific region, integrate a complete system of a DC geared motor, encoder, drive and a controller, to create a versatile single item positioning device.
Command signals and feed-back can be sent and received through communication protocols such as Profibus, CANopen and RS485.
The Rotadrive can move to target positions by incorporation speed ramps and backlash compensation, making the Rotadrive an ideal positioning device.
The RD series’ relatively small size allows the RD series to be mounted directly on a Ø14mm shaft and secured to the collar with an anti-rotation pin.
The RD series are commonly used as tool interchangers, gauges and packaging machinery. The RD series are generally used as replacements for manual mechanical wheels, where the torque required is less then 5Nm.
