JC6000 robust multi-axis industrial joysticks
JC6000 robust multi-axis industrial joysticks, available from Control Devices , are designed for several control applications. With a range of safety features and a new high strength lever, the JC6000 is strong and reliable industrial joystick on the market today.
With lever strength increased by 50 percent from its predecessor (JC600), control applications in construction, agricultural, forestry, off-road vehicles, or on access platforms often subject the industrial joysticks to rough handling. Research reveals that operators routinely lean heavily on industrial joysticks, and/or use the industrial joystick to pull themselves up into the cab or platform.
First in the family is the long-life conductive plastic potentiometer version, based on Penny and Giles proven potentiometer technology, which is known for its good proportional control and long operational life of more than five million cycles.
Due to the modular construction of the new product, Control Devices is able to offer OEMs a wide range of options cost-effectively, making this a highly competitive choice particularly for high volume orders.
The new industrial joystick is available with single or dual axis control and a wide choice of voltage ranges and track resistances, for easy system integration. There is a wide range of standard handles, or handles may be custom designed for special applications.
The JC6000 is housed in a robust metal case, which is sealed above the panel against ingress of dust and water to IP65. Designed for safe, reliable operation, JC6000 has positive centre switching on the x- and y-axes, which allows OEMs to build-in system start-up safety easily.
Another key safety feature of theJC6000 is the dead man safety switch in the handle, which can be connected directly to the logic circuits of the control system. Designed as a direct replacement, the new JC6000 is fully interchangeable with its predecessor, the JC600.
Penny and Giles will launch a contact less Hall-effect version of the JC6000 later in the year.
Other members of the family will include pulse width modulated and CANbus output versions.
