Bespoke joystick design and assembly from Control Devices


Control Devices is now offering a new service to the industrial control market, bespoke joystick design and assembly.

The bespoke designs are based on the popular Penny & Giles A handle and the new Control Devices CDG control grip. Switches are supplied by Otto Engineering in the US, and Otto offers a wide range of waterproof switches, up to IP68. Switch styles include toggle, multi-axis toggle, rocker and pushbutton. Legends can be provided on the rocker switches as well.

The customer has a choice of the Penny & Giles JC150 single axis joystick base or the JC6000 multi-axis joystick base for proportional control. The JC6000 joystick base is also available with Hall output.

Customers can also choose force joystick controllers from Daco Scientific to be included in the A handle or CDG control grip designs.

According to Control Devices, not everyone wants the same industrial joystick handle with the same amount of switches. The new custom industrial joystick design service offered by Control Devices allows clients to have prototype or ready for use joysticks, delivered within a small time frame.
