Lake Variable Area Flow Meters for Liquids and Gases.

Variable Area Flow Meters
Lake Flow Meters are used extensively in the hydraulics and pneumatic industries to provide local visual indication of the rate of flow of oils, water, liquids of many types and gases/air that are pumped through pipes.
  • Apart from giving clear visual indication of rate of flow, there are versions of flow meters that provide one and two levels of alarm, and transmitters that provide 4 - 20mA, 0 - 5Vdc and 1 - 5Vdc or 20 - 2000Hz pulses
  • Lake Area Flow Meters are different because of the sharp edged variable orifice method that provides accurate and repeatable flow rate measurement for both liquids and gases
  • The liquid or gas being monitored is wholly contained within the high pressure casing
  • The flow rate is transferred by magnetic coupling to the sealed window that illustrates the flow rate on calibrated scales
  • The use of a linear rate compression spring within the monitor enables all Lake Monitors to be mounted in any orientation
  • Lake monitors are constructed in Aluminium, Brass or #304 Stainless Steel
  • They are available in 24 different port sizes / forms - 1/8" to 2", in NPTF, BSP or SAE
  • Liquid flow ranges are from 0.19 Litres/min up to 567 Litres/min
  • Air/Gas ranges are from 0.9 to 613 Litres/sec ( 2 t 1300 SCFM )
  • The accuracy is +/-4% of full scale
  • If high pressure is important, Lake has you covered. Air/Gas minimum is 41 bar to a maximum of 69 bar
  • Liquids minimum is 241 bar to a maximum of 413 bar
  • Lake back their Variable Area Flow Meters with a 5 year parts and labour warranty

Control Components maintain an extensive Area Flow Meters inventory of popular sizes and Lake USA support them with quick delivery on specials. Control Components have distributors nationally.
