Itt Neo-dyn Pressure Switches Perform Under Pressure

Product/Service Name

ITT Neo-Dyn Pressure Switches and Temperature Switches

Differentiating Features
Control Components have been appointed the new Australian (excluding WA) Distributor for ITT Neo-Dyn Pressure Switched and Temperature Switches. Neo-Dyn Pressure Switches and Temperature Switches are built in the typical American way, with robustness and reliability being foremost in the designer's mind. The pressure switches are industrial quality, with the standard general purpose alloy housings exceeding IP65 weatherproof. The pressure port options are generally Aluminium ( ¼” NPT F ) or 316SS ( ½” NPT F ) with Teflon coated polyimide diaphragms and Buna N O Ring seals. However, as a guide, other pressure port options include Hasteloy C or Monel.
Pressure Switch constructions include conventional positive pressure (0 – 10,000 PSI / 689 Bar), Vacuum (0 – 40” H2O or 2 – 28” Hg) and Differential pressure switches in various ranges. Pressure switch and temperature switch types are SPDT or DPDT rated up to 15A @ 240VAC or with gold plated contacts for IS applications. EX Rated pressure switches are available with ATEX, UL, & CSA certifications.
Temperature switches are available with ranges between – 20 Deg C to 500 Degrees C in direct mount or with capillaries.

Neo-Dyn’s pressure switch and temperature switch technology is based around the use of a Nega-Rate® (known as negative rate) Belleville spring. At a certain point under pressure, the Belleville spring snaps over centre. The benefit of this system is that it has no moving parts except during actuation. There is no spring fatigue or wear. This manifests itself in a stable set point that eliminates the need for constant recalibration. Just set ‘n forget.
The Belleville spring is not affected by vibration thus eliminating constant chatter. It is also unaffected by overpressure which ordinarily affects a pressure switch’s setpoint.
