Mobile automotive EMC test simulator/analyser
THE New AutoWave from EM Test is designed to overcome the very difficult test environment problem for EMC Automotive Testing, such as the differences between the lab test environment results and actual ‘real world’ mobile test vehicle results.
Available from Consultant Technology Australia Pty Ltd. , the device is capable of simulating, measuring and analysing EMC test results within the test vehicle while it is in motion.
With the increasing number of electronics installed in a vehicle, all parties involved (vehicle manufacturers, sub-suppliers and aftermarket product manufacturers) are facing the challenge to have a clear picture of the electrical battery supply system.
In order to avoid the premature failure of components and subsystems due to voltage variations and transients not being covered by the common test requirements, it is necessary to have a portable test system.
Battery supply disturbances commonly occur on the supply system when the vehicle is driven and the various modules that are connected to the complex wiring harness are activated.
The new AutoWave from EM Test is not just an arbitrary generator; it is an enhanced multi-channel wave simulator, a two-channel wave recorder and a signal analyser all in one unit.
The AutoWave can be used both in the laboratory as well as in the car during long-term test drives because it can be powered from the car's own battery voltage or when in the lab, from its mains voltage input.
The AutoWave features easy front panel manual programming or GPIB plus Ethernet Drive, CAN-bus and Frame-bus connections.
