Compact EMC immunity tester
EM TEST, represented by Consultant Technology , has launched a new compact tester Model OCS 500M6, for ringwave and damped oscillatory waves as per IEC 61000-4-12, and is the first compact solution to generate ringwave pulses up to 6kV in compliance with the American ANSI/IEEE C62.41 requirements.
Both of the two damped oscillatory waves reach 2.5kV and not only comply with IEC 61000-4-12 100kHz and 1MHz frequency testing, they also correspond with the requirements to test protective relays and relay systems as per ANSI/IEEE C39.70.
Additionally, using the damped oscillatory waves, it is also possible to generate magnetic fields as per IEC 61000-4-10 using the optional MS-1 00 magnetic field coil.
The OCS 500M6 has a built-in CDN for tests on mains supply lines, with current ranges up to 32A and three-phase, depending on the selected option, as well as a special option for testing the compliance of signal/data lines and I/O lines.
The OCS 500M6 can be operated manually from the front panel or by remote via the built-in RS232 or GPm interface.
Under manual front panel control, the pre-programmed standard test routines allow the highest user convenience, with a Quick Start test routine, where parameters can be changed on-line during the test to evaluate the susceptibility level of an individual DUT.
Front panel menu and function keys enable the user to program his test routines quickly and accurately. The cursor allows fast control of all test parameters of the programmed routine, thus test procedures are simplified and confidence is generated that every step is carried out correctly.
The standard delivery includes Fail inputs to allow rapid intervention management control of an ongoing test sequence based on the status of the DUT.
Also included are monitoring outputs (BNC) to allow easy signal measurement and important safety features such as interlock and warning lamp control.
