Consolidated Plastics and Epoxy has fabricated various components and guards over the past 12 years from HDPE, PVDF and PP using extrusion welding techniques.
All components produced by the company are fabricated to meet international standard DVS, with the final application largely dictating which material is to be used.
Consolidated Plastics and Epoxy fabricates products from:
- HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)
- PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluroide); and
- PP (Polypropyene).
High Density Polyethylene is a rigid material that offers good all round chemical resistance and weather ability, and which can be welded and fabricated to form a variety of items for both light and heavy industrial applications.
In addition, HDPE exhibits good UV resistance, and is food grade certified.
Polyvinylidene Fluroide is one of the only engineering plastics that can be used in fabrication. It is available in:
- stretched back sheet
- pipe; and
- compression fittings.
Polypropyene finds wide use in chemical applications such as reaction tanks, water purifying plants and sewage treatment plants. Benefits of using PP include:
- mechanical strength
- impact resistance
- moisture resistance; and
