Handles for battery connectors


THE need to anticipate possible safety problems, that may occur as the result of emergencies or incorrect use, has prompted the introduction of a range of handles for SMH and Anderson style battery connectors.

Available from Colourview Electronics , the handles make it easier to connect and disconnect the larger connectors which have average contact retention forces of 225kg and mating and unmating forces of 13.5kg.

They also improve operator safety by removing the hand from the actual connector.

There are various styles available in steel or polycarbonate and with locking handles and cable clamps.

Another range, suitable for DIN43589 connectors used in European electric vehicles, will also be introduced.
