These miniature bayonet locking connectors are available with 3 to 61 contacts in a range of current ratings from 3 to 23 amps.
The MIL-C-26482 Series II Connectors have a simple, strong contact design which eliminates undercuts and maximises bend resistance for positive contact mating. The hard dielectric of the socket face of mating connectors has lead-in chamfers for positive alignment of pins and sockets.
Raised moisture barriers around each pin which mate into the lead-in chamfers of the socket inserts, provides individual contact sealing. These interfacial seals are never touched by service tools that may affect their integrity.
The rear contact release system features a stamped metal retaining clip captivated by moulded-in shoulders in each contact cavity in the insulator. A rear inserted plastic tool expands the tines beyond the contact shoulder to release the contact.
Interlocking teeth on the front of the backshell and the rear portion of the shell allow endbells to be positioned as desired, eliminating chamfering of wire during assembly. The entire range is available through Connector~Tech, a division of Colourview Electronics, specialist importers and national distributors of Harsh Environment Connectors.
