CONLAB has released UCME alarm notification software. UCME is OPC client software.
It runs on Microsoft Windows platform and communicates with any OPC server and with industrial automation software (SCADA) such as Citect, Wonderware and others via OPC.
UCME uses phone, SMS, Fax and email to establish bidirectional communication between users (technicians, field engineers, manager etc...) and their applications.
Users can receive alarm notifications and interact with their applications via phone and SMS. Using their regular phones and cellular phones, users can change set-points, acknowledge alarms, listen to real-time values, execute programs and reboot the PC when required.
UCME is a true multi-tasking and multi-threaded application. It can dial up to four users; send emails and SMS messages and play the alarms to the local multimedia loudspeakers.
UCME will notify users according to predefined prioritised users' lists or weekly shift definition. UCME administrators may define special days and holidays in which notification activities may be different than in standard week days.
UCME runs a watchdog mechanism with the OPC server software. When the server (SCADA) is not responding, UCME will notify the appropriate users.
