received an award for ‘Employer Excellence’ at the annual Worksafe Victoria awards ceremony held in Melbourne recently.
Over 500 employers from across Victoria competed for honours in 11 categories, all promoting workplace safety initiatives.
Confoil won the Worksafe award for designing and implementing a return to work (RTW) program for employees. Confoil CEO Mr Kris Srikanthan accepted the award on behalf of the company.
According to Mr Srikanthan, Confoil’s RTW program forms an integral part of their commitment to ‘implementing safety policies and procedures that are best practice and leading the way with innovative initiatives’.
While Confoil is committed to accident prevention, it also recognises the fact that injuries may occur at the workplace. The RTW program was unveiled in 2009 in support of employees, the focus of which was holistic support, genuine consultation with all parties involved in the RTW process and getting the right information to the right people, at the right time.
Through this extensive consultation with employees, insurers and medical practitioners within the community, the program has facilitated several improvements such as immediate care for injured workers, meaningful modified duties and reduction in both Lost Time Injury Frequency Rates and workers compensation premiums.
Confoil is Australia’s leading manufacturer of quality aluminium foil trays and ovenable paperboard trays.
