Conductix-Wampfler optimise their cable trolley programme

New series of cable trolleys
Conductix-Wampfler  have developed three new series of cable trolleys for modern STS container cranes and high-capacity process cranes.

All three programmes for flat and round cables have been designed for a loop weight of 350 to 800 kilograms and feature an optimised conception of the running gear. This new technology allows speeds of up to 300m/minute.

Besides a series for high-capacity process cranes, Conductix-Wampfler offer two new cable trolley types for container cranes with a rope-driven main trolley, as well as container cranes with machinery on trolley for crane types such as Panamax, Megamax and Malaccamax class.

The optimised conception of the running gear with point-symmetric arrangement of the main roller considerably improves the travelling behaviour of the cable trolleys. The running gear has been designed for high travel speeds and for crossing beam joints on STS container cranes.

All materials can withstand extreme ambient conditions such as in subtropical regions. Due to the consequent optimisation of technology, these new cable trolleys will save repair and maintenance costs. Hence, the total-cost of ownership will be reduced.

Conductix-Wampfler’s cable trolley systems are installed in steelworks, ports, galvanising plants and composting plants around the world.
