Conductix-Wampfler has introduced a new compact design fibre optic rotary joint.
The new design of a spool type rotary joint offers a significant reduction in size, compared to the standard spool to spool type units, with significant cost savings compared to prism type units.
The robust construction enables highest reliability, even at high speed applications. Non-interrupted fibre optic cores and standard connectors provide continuous data transmission with lowest attenuation values, far below the common 3dB.
The use of high quality plastic, nickel-plated steel and terminal boxes made of stainless steel (IP65) ensure high corrosion protection even in an aggressive atmosphere.
The FORJ is limited in the number of revolutions, due to the use of a continuous cable; however travel length up to 1500m can be covered. The standard product range includes FORJ with 40, 60, 90 and 120 maximum possible turns.
The range of the new Wampfler FORJ comes in 6, 12 or 18 cores in single mode or multi mode as standard. For the first time, a combination of single and multi mode cores, within one FORJ is possible.
