Peter Segeart is the Senior Technical Expert for acoustics in virtual analysis software, LMS International. Based in Leuven, Belgium, he is their worldwide expert on vibro-acoustic simulation technology. His role takes him to customer sites all over the world in industries as varied as automotive, aerospace, defence, electrical and electronic products, industrial machinery, off road vehicles and space programmes.
Segeart oversees acoustical benchmarking projects conducted by LMS International’s team of engineers, speaks at scientific conferences about engineering simulation with a focus on vibration and acoustics, presents research papers and delivers customised training to LMS International’s users on advanced topics such as random vibro-acoustics, aero-acoustics and underwater acoustics.
Segeart has 20 years experience in the engineering simulation industry. His experience includes research on numerical simulation of 3D turbomachinery fluid dynamics, in particular thermal mixing processes in axial-flow compressors for aircraft engines. He has provided analysis assistance for the Structural Dynamics Research Corporation across Southern Europe, technical support and training for I-DEAS CAD modelling and FEA structural analysis software. He has supported LMS International’s software packages for acoustics, noise and vibration (i.e. SYSNOISE, RAYNOISE, VIOLINS) globally and has trained LMS International’s customers.
The technology seminar will be presented by Segeart and organised by Concentric Asia Pacific . The seminar is useful for Product Managers looking for new ways of developing innovative products that meet and exceed customer expectations. Development Managers who would like to reduce costs and risks, eliminating weak points from early design stages onwards can attend the seminar. The seminar is suitable for Quality Managers who do not want their systems to fail.
Test Engineers eager to get maximum information out of their testing in less time can also attend the seminar. CAE Engineers wanting to go beyond static strength and kinematics simulation can benefit from the technology seminar. Segeart will speak about the new breakthroughs in acoustic/vibration technology and selected case studies.
