LMS offers a unique combination of 1D and 3D virtual simulation software certified to ISO quality standards; as used by NASA, BMW, Ford Australia, Siemens VDO, Nokia, EADS, Harley Davidson, Boeing, DaimlerChrysler, Renault, John Deere, FIAT, Honda, Cosworth, Audi and others.

LMS Virtual.Lab offers an integrated software suite to simulate the performance of mechanical systems in terms of structural integrity, noise and vibration, durability, system dynamics, ride and handling. It is open to the leading CAD systems - CATIA, I-DEAS, UniGraphics and ProENGINEER. It removes the barriers between CAD, CAE and Test. Specialist modules include LMS Virtual.Lab Acoustics, LMS Virtual.Lab Noise and Vibration, LMS Virtual.Lab Correlation, LMS Virtual.Lab Motion, LMS Virtual.Lab Durability, LMS Virtual.Lab Structures, LMS Virtual.Lab Modelling and Assembly, LMS Virtual.Lab Optimizer, LMS Virtual.Lab Designer, LMS Virtual.Lab Landing Gear. LMS Virtual.Lab utilises the existing 3D model to pinpointing the root causes of problems such as noise, vibration, heat, motion, mechanical loads…to assess a design variant within minutes, and quickly explore multiple options.

LMS Virtual.Lab provides ABAQUS, ANSYS, CATIA CAE and MSC.NASTRAN users an active, associative link between Virtual.Lab and their structural FE (Finite Element) solver for linear and non-linear structural analyses. LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers 1D simulation to model and analyse multi-domain, intelligent systems and to predict their multi-disciplinary performance. The components of the model are described by analytical models representing the hydraulic, pneumatic, electric or mechanical behaviour of the system. The user has access to validated libraries of pre-defined components from different physical domains. The software creates a physics based model of the syste, which does not require a full 3D geometry representation. This approach gives LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim the capability to simulate the behaviour of intelligent systems long before detailed CAD geometry becomes available. The resulting sketch is easily understandable and offers a logic representation of the system model under investigation.
