COMSOL has released the ServerLink Elite range of KVM switches. They allow servers to be controlled with a single keyboard, monitor and mouse.
Using high-density connections the eight and 16-port switches occupy 1U of standard 19-inch rack space, making them suitable for a server room where space is at a premium.
The switches have a pop-up screen menu control but require no software. An onscreen display enables computers to be renamed so making selection quick and simple, with any server being selected directly from the keyboard using hot-key commands.
Mouse and keyboard emulation eliminate unwanted lock-ups. Each computer continuously sees its own keyboard and mouse, ensuring error free switching and flawless booting. All models automatically save and restore keyboard status when switching. The switches support PS/2 mice and keyboards and are supplied both with and without cables.
All models incorporate 15-pin high-density connectors for simple cable management and include a backup power feature that eliminates any system power failure problems. Completely operating system independent and flash upgradeable to accommodate future technology, the ServerLink Elite KVM switches are covered by a year's warranty.
